Fusion Of Dance Festival Indoor 2012

Fire, huge sound systems, beautiful dancers, smiling happy people and many stages: this Indoor edition of the Fusion Of Dance Festival was a big success, again. The line-up was big to have enough different music styles for everybody. This time the location – IJsselhallen Zwolle – was perfect too: different areas with more space.

To me as the photographer a heavy job again: a strict time table, trying to make as much different impressions as possible and as quick as possible. After the night was over, I had no legs anymore. Going from one area to the other took several minutes and 600 metres a time, but it was worth it – for sure.

To light the DJ’s on stage I used bare bulb flashes, each connected to a PocketWizard FLEXTT5. On cam I had a PocketWizard MiniTT1 with an AC3 Zone Controller on top of it. This way I could adjust the power of my flashes straight from my camera.

The festival was one long evening and night. I could only do a modest part of the big lineup, unfortunately, because of the many stages and strict timetable. Of course my favorite gogo dancers were also on board. 🙂
